This Milk & Honey location has been on my watchlist, as it's a bit further away, but the Fairfax location is more geared towards takeout. My friends and I came here, hungry and during restaurant week. We decided to not do the deal, as we wanted to try a lot of different things that weren't on that menu. We ordered the jumbo smothered chicken and biscuits, catfish and grits, award winning shrimp and grits, and cheesy hash. For drinks, we ordered the mocktail flight, which was quite refreshing for the hot summer day. The place was packed! Our wait staff was super efficient and friendly, so we were able to be communicated if things were running late or not. Our food was also super tasty, I really enjoyed trying everything that we all had, and it was super filling. The cajun cream sauce is always sooooo good here, I want to know what it's made of! My favorite thing (besides the drinks) would be the catfish, but the shrimp and grits are always super tasty. I also enjoyed the smothered chicken and biscuits, but the cajun sauce is always so distinctive. Can't wait to visit again!

If you want brunch foods with big flavors, this is the place! No plain waffles and sad bacon here. We had the jumbo smothered chicken and biscuits, catfish and grits, award winning shrimp and grits, and cheesy hash. The meat was moist and extremely well seasoned - the Cajun cream sauce is literally addictive. The grits look unassuming but are thick, smooth, and buttery. The food is very rich and filling so you may end up with a second meal to take home. We visited on a Sunday during the afternoon brunch rush. It was massively busy, but we received excellent service. I really appreciate how we were kept up to date with times and the availability of seating and various items. Even when they ran out of cutlery sets, the staff was super communicative and efficient to make sure we had a good experience. I had a great time, and look forward to eating here again!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Milk and Honey, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. I ordered the catfish and grits, and they were simply outstanding. The catfish was perfectly seasoned and crispy, while the grits were creamy and flavorful, complementing the fish beautifully. To top it all off, I enjoyed a refreshing mimosa that paired wonderfully with the meal. What truly made the experience memorable was the exceptional service. Vernon, one of the staff members, was a standout. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure that everything was just right. It was a pleasure meeting him, and his genuine care for the customers added a special touch to the meal. I'll definitely be back!

Sweet potato waffle! This is my first time having the sweet potato waffle and it's so good! I love that it is partnered with chicken. While we also ordered an omelette that has a pretty generous amount. Service was good and easy to talk to. The place is pretty neat and organized despite of visiting in a busy time.

The biscuit appetizer with honey butter was simple but satisfying. I wiped the plate clean. The chicken and waffles were tasty. I really liked the sweet potato waffle. The chicken wings were very large and hot (temperature). I was expecting a different cut of chicken but that's ok. The shrimp and grits were the star for me. Typically I'm not a huge fan of grits - they are ok but usually they are too bland. Not these... the creole sauce was terrific and paired nicely with the shrimp and sausage. I tend to prefer spicy but I didn't miss it with these. The service was prompt and the waitress was friendly giving advice on dishes when asked. My only complaint is the music was very loud. I had trouble hearing the person across the table from me.

After getting up at the crack of dawn to attend the Goodwill Dulles grand opening celebration, I was BEAT...and STARVING! I've been a fan of Milk & Honey since their Beltsville, MD double-wide trailer days and was excited to see that there was a location nearby. No matter the location, consider yourself lucky to secure a reservation. Since I was dining alone, I decided to grab a seat at the bar. Here's what I had: --LAVENDER LEMONADE (spirit-free) --CRISPY SALMON HASH "to go" order; --FRIED GREEN TOMATOES (me) --CRAB SPRING ROLLS (him) --CAJUN PASTA (him) __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

This spot for me is typically a hit or miss. It seems to be more of a miss when it's super busy. This last trip was a hit. The service was great! Our waitress was super personable and friendly! I forget her name but she has reddish/pink hair. I ordered a hot coco, Jumbo Smothered Chicken & Biscuits and Chicken Sandwich with Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Sauce. I also got a side of grits. My only complaint was that the chicken was not hot and hardly warm. My bf liked his sandwich, but he thought the chicken that came with my food had more flavor than the lemon pepper hit honey chicken. Overall, I enjoy the vibes at this spot. I'll be going again and maybe I'll try something different for once. I've gotten the shrimp and grits in the past and that was pretty delicious as well.
